Save 20% on Label Daddy labels for Back to School!

I'm so excited to try out Label Daddy Labels.  You see, my daughter's school has a very strict uniform policy.  We bought her a nice uniform jacket at the beginning of the year that was allowed to be worn on the rare cold Florida days.  Yes, you read that right.  I said "a" jacket.  How many do we need in Florida anyway?  I'm an elementary music teacher.  I should have known better.  My sweet daughter lost her one jacket early in the 3 week cold season.  Oops.  We looked everywhere in lost and found piles and could not find it.  I was smart enough to write her name on the tag, but it wasn't enough info for the jacket to make it back to her classroom.  Thankfully, we found a sweater for her to use.

This year, I'm getting more than one jacket and I'm going to try label daddy labels so we don't lose that precious jacket.  It does get really cold during those 3 weeks.

Putting Edge Glow in the Dark Mini-Golf Orlando Review

During Spring break we had a chance to try out the Putting Edge Glow in the Dark Mini-Golf in Orlando.  The kids were very excited.

When we got there we realized it is in an abandoned mall that they are trying to remodel and build back up.  It was completely deserted there and was a little creepy with all the empty stores.  At least we didn't worry about crowds.  The only stores occupied were at the ends of the mall.  A movie theater, Fudruckers, a little book shop, and Bass Pro Shop,

We were glad we were able to find the place.  There was some worry it might not be open...that would be our luck.  Thankfully, it was.

It wasn't a huge place, but we figured that.  It did seem bigger once inside.

We got our putters, a glow and the dark bracelet, and ball.

The glow in the dark is always cool.  Each hole was very close to the next.  There were little platforms that you could stand on while waiting for others to take their shot so you weren't in the way.  The only thing I didn't like is that each hole isn't separated from the next.  There were quite a few times we accidentally shot into the next area.  Others did in ours as well.  Also, I didn't see a bathroom.  I took Bubby all the way out into the theater next door to go.  If there was a bathroom close by, I didn't see it.  I was quite surprised at how well Bubby did.  I think he did better than Sissy and probably better than me as well.

We decided to go to Ikea afterwards and as soon as we pulled in this is what we saw. Looks like we wore him out a bit.

We had fun at Putting Edge Glow in the Dark mini-golf.  We love the glow in the dark effect.  I just don't know if we'd spend the money to go back again.  Well...maybe not just full price.  There was a small party area, but I don't think it would be as fun or convenient as other "party" places.  When looking online it says there is Pizza provided for the two upper end packages, but I didn't see any food place in this Putting Edge.  It is quite small and the arcade is just a few things.  It's definitely really quiet for now.  I do hope that this mall picks up and fills all the stores.  It is actually a really cute mall.

It's been awhile...

It's been awhile since I blogged.  It has been a rough several months.  I was sick and exhausted for almost 3 months straight.  I took a little time off from blogging during that time.  Just when I was starting to feel a little better and was planning to blog again and announce that I was pregnant we lost the baby.

I had a little boy on December 13th.  It was the hardest thing I've ever had to go through.  I had no warnings.  It went to my 16th week appointment (just a couple days early) and we got the worst news ever...there was no heart beat and our boy was gone.  There was nothing we could do.

Needless to say, it has been a rough 7 weeks since then.  I wasn't completely naive.  I knew things could go wrong, but I never knew how hard it was to actually go through it.  After weeks of nausea and attempting to teach while either throwing up or dry heaving all day everyday, I was so excited to make it to the 2nd trimester and to start feeling better.  My kids were so excited to be a big sister (again) and a big brother (for the first time).  Bubby insisted the baby in my tummy was a boy.  He was right.  I was starting to feel comfortable and so happy to be in the "honeymoon period" of my pregnancy just to lose him.  I was due June 3rd.  Everyone said it was perfect timing for a teacher.  I thought 2 months of summer was not enough to stay home with a newborn.  We were working on plans for me to stay out a little longer into the next school year.  So many plans...

I'm trying to go day by day as the grief never goes away.  The minute I think I'm doing okay and trying to be normal it hits again like a ton of bricks.

My blog may become an outlet to write out my feelings.  I just haven't decided how public I want to go with everything although just typing it and admitting it now is pretty public already.

I miss my son everyday.  A small part of me is with him just as my two other children have pieces of my heart as well.
