Lil Angels Hankies
I came across this little non-profit company through my cousin on Facebook. Lil Angels Hankies sends handkerchiefs to those who have lost a child. They take requests from anyone that has lost a baby/child at any stage of life. I thought what they are doing is awesome! I know several people that have lost babies/children and many times (depending on how early the loss occurred) the mother has nothing physical to remember their child by. Lil Angels Hankies give the parents a personalized handkerchief so they have something physical to remember their child.
This is from their site:
Lil Angels Hankies makes and donates embroidered handkerchiefs to those who have lost babies. Having been through the pain of losing a child, Tricia knows how healing it can be to have a tangible way of remembering the babies this earth never had.
Please note, that if you have lost a baby by miscarriage, stillbirth, or other uncontrollable circumstance, then we have a hanky for you! The point of this is for it to NOT be a financial burden on the mother, so there is no charge. It doesn't matter if you were 4 weeks along, full term, or a child that passed away at an older age. The only thing we ask is that this is for a loss that was out of your control.
Click here to request a hanky. or Visit them on Facebook.
If you have a few dollars to spare and you'd like to donate to a great cause, donate to Lil Angels Hankies here.

Get Free Books from Dolly Parton
Have you signed up your child to receive free books from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library? If not, do it here! :)
I signed up my kids a couple months ago and they both got the book "The little Engine that Could" for their book. My son LOVES trains, so it was perfect and they both have their own copy.

They just got their 2nd book today. Bubby got "Road Work Ahead." Another perfect choice for him...it's trucks and cars!
Sissy got "What's the Big Idea Molly?"
Check to see if it is available in your area and register your children ages 0-5.

Box Tops for Education at Walmart - $25 GC giveaway
One of the easiest ways to give to schools is to collect Box Tops and turn them into your child's teacher. It doesn't cost anything and they are on products that you already have or need. Even if you don't have a child in school, save them and donate them to a child or school near you. It doesn't seem like much, but last year our school was able to collect enough to earn over $1600. That is a lot of supplies and equipment for our school. The Box Top coupons definitely add up, so it is definitely worth it to save them and turn them in.
Walmart is teaming up with General Mills to give away more Box Tops. They've stacked up their Box Top products in the aisles so they are easy to find. Many of the products have 4 Box Tops! That's $.40 per box. If we could have multiplied our earnings by four last year, that would have been awesome. Now is the time to go to Walmart and get your Box Top items.
To help you get started on collecting Box Tops I will giveaway a $25 Walmart gift card to one lucky reader !
Here are just some of the things that I bought at Walmart that had Box Tops. I've already been saving my Box Tops all summer.
Ziploc bags are on my kids' supply list for daycare/pre-school. |
