PottyCover Review and Giveaway!

My daughter has issues with public toilets.  Who doesn't really?  Many times they are dirty and it's just not the same as home.  Potty training with Sissy had many difficulties because of this.  She was very picky about the toilet.  She refused to use a public toilet for a LONG time.  It all started when we were in the beginnings of potty training and attempted to use a dirty, metal, self-flushing park toilet in a dark room.  Not cool.  One time, we went on a trip to my Mom's house (4hr drive) and she absolutely refused to use any toilet because we weren't at home.  I thought for sure she'd just eventually wet herself, but she somehow held it from 7am until almost 6pm.  I was getting worried about her getting a bladder infection, so I eventually held her down on Granny's toilet (kicking and screaming) and told her she was on the potty already and to just go.  Thankfully, most of this is behind us (no pun intended), but she's still picky about what toilets she'll willingly use.

I'm getting ready to start the potty training process all over again with Bubby and I cringe at the whole public toilet use and teaching him that toilets are dirty.  I have images of Sissy trying to scoot up the potty and putting her hands all over it to get on and hold on.  This is where the PottyCover comes in.

PottyCover is a disposable toilet seat cover for children that covers the sides and the front of the toilet, to keep away germs at public rest-rooms.  It is made of non-woven fabric coated with a layer of plastic, creating a waterproof barrier between the toilet and the child. This product has the largest coverage of all seat covers on the market and for added convenience, each seat cover is individually packaged in a small, easy to open bag that makes it super easy to always keep one or two in a purse or a back pocket.

Using a public rest-room with a young child could be very stressful, but with PottyCovers the whole family can feel safe knowing that even at the filthiest bathrooms they will be protected from germs. We designed this product for kids, but it has become a must-have travel item for many of our adult customers.

I LOVE that they come in individually wrapped packages.  I can stick one or two in the diaper bag or even one in my purse.

I also love how much it covers.  It covers MUCH more than any other toilet cover I've ever seen.  Some of the worst parts are the sides just under the seat and the front and they are covered.
The only problem for us is there is no adhesive on the bottom.  My daughter has to sit on the front edge and scoot back on the toilet.  When she scoots back, the cover scoots with her.  I was going to pick her up to set her on it, but this toilet has an automatic flush toilet on the wall and I had to cover it for her or she wouldn't go.  I tried it and it works perfect for me.  After reading some reviews there are many people that hate the adhesive on covers.  I know that it would take longer to "set up," but my 4 year old daughter would need it.  If I am using it, I'd prefer no adhesive.  The toilet flushed on it's own while the cover was on and it stayed with no problems.  I think I need to stock up on some for me.  I hate public toilets...hmm...I wonder where Sissy gets it from! :P

A pack of PottyCover sells for $5.99 and it is available on Amazon, Ebay, all Buy Buy Baby stores around the country and at select Bed Bath & Beyond stores.
