I was out at PE one day and a 1st grader came up to Coach crying saying she hurt her head on the pull-up bars. Even I know that Coach has a rule that kids are NOT allowed to hang upside down on the pull-up bars. He was trying to figure out how she could have hit her head if she was following the rule.
Coach: What did you fall on?
Student: The ground.
He kept a straight face as I start laughing. I'm sorry. I couldn't help it. It had been LONG week. I needed the laugh and the little girl was fine.

My 2 year old
My little man is two! I can't believe it. He's just growing up too fast. I know everyone says this, but it's true. He's talking so much more now and he thinks he's grown. He wants to do everything on his own.
He actually let me take his picture! For awhile he would just make a grumpy face every time I took out the camera. Happy Birthday Baby Boy!

Sissy's Funnies
Sissy: "Mommy I want to go to a jungle to pet the animals. It will be an adventure." So... where do in find a Jungle in FL?
In the car, Sissy says "Thunder gets rid of weeds.". Later while playing in the yard she says "look we have weeds. We need some thunder!". Where does she get this stuff? I wish thunder got rid of weeds!
While watching Lady in the Tramp I meant to turn on the captions (Sissy likes the words on screen) and I accidentally changed the audio to French. Sissy said "Uh Mommy...we have a problem! They aren't talking the right way."
Me: Sissy do your feet stink? Sissy: No just my butt.
Somewhat inappropriate especially because we were in public place, but I couldn't help laughing.
These were all today! Silly girl.

My First Crayola Gift Pack Review and Giveaway
I'm good friends with the art teacher at my school and she LOVES crayola. With 500+ kids a week using their various products you know it is very well tested. "I've never used a Crayola product that I did not like" says our Art Teacher after teaching for 12 years. She actually told me that one year our county tried to take Crayola off the purchase list and all the Art teachers were so unhappy that they quickly changed their mind. We love Crayola here at home too. I was looking around at our Art supplies and almost everything is Crayola. I love the quality and durability as well.
The stampers, markers, and crayons are cute little animals which Bubby loved before taking of the feet (cap). He had no problem using any of them. We did have an incident with the yellow animal crayon. We have a tall table and Bubby likes to throw things. The crayon broke off and fell out. Then I realized there is a button at the top of the crayons that you push and turn the head to bring the crayon down as it gets used up. We spun it all the way down shoved the crayon back in and wound it back up and it seems to be staying fine now.
They had a blast with the My First Crayola™ Washable Musical Rub-Art Station! Bubby had a fit when it was time to put it away. It has two 2-sided designs to rub. I love the crayon holder and it is perfect for him to use. It makes rub-art so much easier to use for the 24mos and up (Bubby is 23mos). I just wish it had a smooth one so that you could find your own things to rub and print (ie leaves). Below is video of Bubby trying it out for the first time. He LOVES the sounds...can you tell? Sissy wants to try too. :)
The My First Crayola™ Washable Dry-Erase Activity Mat is cute too! It's great for travel. We took it to Church today and is perfect. The coloring papers slip into the plastic sleeves and the coloring begins. It was really easy to wipe off. Bubby was able to get some of his off on his own if it wasn't too thick.
My house is decorated with artwork from the next two kits! We left these for Grandma to use while watching them during the day because they are mess-free. We already have tons of Color Wonder™ products, but now we have some things geared for Bubby's age.

There's even a coupon on boxes of Cheerios!

My kids were so excited. They have been asking to do art every day since we got them.

Tombow Adhesive Glue Dispenser Refill
I used to use the little double sided tape for scrap-booking. This is much better. You just roll it on rather than have to peel little backing papers off.
I'm actually giving it to my art teacher buddy. We have our school wide art show coming up in a couple weeks. She has to hang art work up for every one of our 500 students and they have to be mounted on background paper. This is a terribly long process! She can't use glue to mount the artwork because it will warp the paper and mess up their beautiful pieces. She usually staples them on because it's the fastest way, but she cringes every time she puts a staple in. She hates stapling the children's art work. With the Tombow she can glue them on without the wet mess. It is acid-free and photo safe as well.

Copy-Kids DVD Review and Giveaway
My kid are picky eaters. Aren't all kids? I know that we all need to eat more fruits and vegetables. When my daughter was younger, she would not eat broccoli (well anything green) until we went to my friends house and she saw my friend's kids eating broccoli. After seeing her two best friends eating it, she thought it must be yummy. Broccoli became her favorite vegetable. We all know peer pressure works so why not use good peer pressure? This is where Copy-Kids comes into play. It's a DVD for children 6months - 5 years old that shows children eating different fruits and vegetables. The kids on this DVD LOVE their fruits and vegetables and they are very cute too.
It is 12 chapters that are 7 minutes each and feature bell pepper, bananas, oranges, carrots, strawberries, avocado, raspberries, tomatoes, apples, broccoli, cucumber, and blueberries.
My kids had fun identifying the fruit and vegetables the kids were eating. Sissy decided she didn't want to watch the entire clip for each one, so we watched parts of each one. It would have been best if I had given them the fruit/vegetable featured while they watched it.
Sissy decided she doesn't like broccoli anymore. There was raw broccoli at my little Sister's baby shower. Sissy decided to try it. Normally, it has to be cooked for her to eat it or even attempt to eat it.
We had broccoli for dinner tonight and Sissy said she didn't like broccoli. We reminded her that she used to eat it all the time and asked her to eat it like the kids in the movie.
Now, if I could get Bubby to eat...well anything more than a few bites. If you have a picky eater, it's worth a try.
